America’s Greenest Food Manufacturer
By Susanne Goldstein on Jan 2, 2008 in More To Explore, All Things Green, Sustainable Products, The Social Age
Imagine a factory where there is no waste, plenty of re-use and a product that tastes good to boot. NBC Nightly News recently did a piece on Kettle Chips, a “junk food” manufacturer with a social conscious. Kettle’s Wisconsin plant is a fully sustainable operation, from recycling water, to low-toxicity paints. The US Green Building Council recently named Kettle Chips “America’s Greenest Food Manufacturer”. Kettle built their operations over the past 25 years with sustainability as an important ingredient of their success.
You can watch the piece from the Our Planet series called “Chew on This: Green Junk Food“.

That’s a cool piece of news — kudos to Kettle Chips.
However, junk food is still junk food, right?
but…I guess healthy eating should be another topic
I’m enjoying your blog — keep ‘em coming.
